Scirocco is a model three-door coupe produced by German car manufacturer Volkswagen since 1974. During the journey, the car has evolved and significant change that can be divided into three different generations.
Scirocco I (Mark I) is the first generation produced between 1974 to 1982. The first generation is equipped with a series of 4-cylinder engines with capacities ranging from 1.1 L to 1.7 L. then continued with the Scirocco II (Mark II) manufactured between 1982 to 1992, equipped with 4-cylinder engine capacity of 1.3 L to 1.8 L (the last model in the second generation is equipped with a 1.8 DOHC 16-Valve I4).
Scirocco III (Mark III) which is the last generation went into production in 2008 to the present in the 3-door hatchback version. Dipangulnya machine type TSI and TDI with a capacity of 1.4 to 2.0 L which can generate power from a 120 to 260 hp (Scirocco R 2009).
And now, Scirocco comes back with the latest technology and design. The New Scirocco GTS that appear in the event the Auto Mobil International in Leipzig, Germany reinforced with 2.0-liter turbo engine that can generate power up to 210 hp. In addition the car is also equipped with special features such as front and rear bumpers are new, the curve of the firm and the rear diffuser and roof spoiler borrowed from the Scirocco R.
The new car's performance, although not yet officially announced by Volkswagen, but is expected to accelerate in just 6.9 seconds to reach 100km/jam speed from a stop and sped up to a maximum speed 283km/jam.
